Geodetic Surveying

TSP assists in establishing horizontal & vertical control in urban areas or on remote sites via local control or larger geodetic network enabling the survey or construction project to be placed within the wider national spatial framework. TSP generates a ‘measurement system’ that defines the survey design & methodology, instrumentation, calibration & data reduction. The service includes design, installation, survey, adjustment and issuing of statistical reports on primary or secondary control points and benchmarks.

Setting Out & Dimensional Control

Ground Modelling

Raw 3D/2.5D data sets obtained via land survey and photogrammetry can be processed to produce a digital terrain model (DTM) or, by adding continuous data, produce a DEM – Digital Elevation (bare earth) model. Using the DEM for base mapping, additional surface data can be layered in register & geo-referenced. Digital Ground Models (consisting of elevation, slope, orientation and features) are useful for analysing waterflow, 3D visuals, rectifying remote images, Engineering & Infrastructure design, line of sight and subsurface bathymetric data etc.

Volumetric Analysis
TSP conducts volume surveys, provides calculations & issues reports for cut and fill, muck shift, stock piles, quarry assets or land fill void space. Using powerful software we can create DEMs, compare original, design, sub-grade surfaces & cross-sections. If required, we can also monitor pre & post settlement/compacted volumes.
